Adam Joseph Vella (born 12 June 1971) is a clay target shooter from Australia. Vella was born in Melbourne and is a Commonwealth Games triple gold medalist and an Olympic bronze medalist.[1]
Vella missed selection for the 2008 Summer Olympics despite becoming the No 1 ranked shooter in the world in 2007. His international performances were not taken into consideration as per the AISL Olympic selection criteria and the position was won by Craig Henwood after beating Adam by 1 target.[2]
Vella works as a plumber when not competing and he had very hard life in early stage of his career.[1] He is of Maltese descent.[3]
