Ade Bajomo (born March 12, 1966) is the Executive Director of The Nigerian Stock Exchange for Market Operations and Technology, a position he assumed on May 1, 2011.[1] Prior to joining The Exchange, he worked at Barclays Bank PLC., leading the Replatforming Programmes for Africa and Indian Ocean region to achieve significant technology and business operations benefits in the region. He has over 23 years of professional experience.[2]

Birth and education

Ade Bajomo was born in Lagos, Nigeria. He holds a B.Sc degree in Engineering from University of Ife, now Obafemi Awolowo University, an M.Sc with distinction in Information Systems and an MBA from South Bank University and City University (CASS) Business School, London respectively.[3]

Professional career

With a wealth of experience and track record in the global financial services sector spanning banking, capital markets, asset management and insurance, Mr. Bajomo has led major transformation and service improvement programmes, participated in business growth initiatives and technology and operations integration of acquired entities in the sector.

Prior to joining The Exchange, he worked at Barclays Bank PLC., leading the Replatforming Programmes for Africa and Indian Ocean region to achieve significant technology and business operations benefits in the region.

Mr. Bajomo has also held several director level/leadership positions in the UK financial services sector, including Technology Director at Fortis Bank UK, Head of IT Systems and Strategy at Pearl Insurance UK and management roles at Deutsche Bank and Morgan Grenfell Asset Management.[4] He is a chartered member of the British Computer Society and a Member of the Institute of Directors.
