Her father, Rıza Yılmaz (Metin Çekmez), is a doorman in Etiler, an upper-class neighborhood of Istanbul. Her mother, Zehra Yılmaz (Vahide Gördüm), is a housekeeper. Feriha is able to secure a full scholarship to a private university. While studying in the university Feriha poses as a rich girl whose wealthy father is the family's patriarch. She meets a handsome and rich young man, Emir Sarrafoğlu (Çağatay Ulusoy) at her university. After the kidnap Emir and Feriha both realises their emence love for each other. They forget each other and get reconciled. When Feriha's family get to know about her relationship with Emir, her father gets very furious and decides to send her back to the village. On the way to village, Emir comes and takes Feriha along with him somewhere. Soon they get married. However, they both decide to reveal their marriage to their family on right time.Eventually Cansu tries to kill Feriha and Emir. When Feriha and Emir are taken to the hospital their marriage gets revealed to their family. Both Yilmaz and Sarrafoğlu family gets furious and shocked on knowing that they have got married. Themes and reception

According to Nilüfer Pembecioğlu, Feriha is a symbol of class anxiety in Turkey; though having a university education, she is forced to lie in order to get ahead. Pembecioğlu lists it as one of the most successful Turkish television serials and being shown around the world; it was especially popular in Bulgaria,[1] and was aired in Russia[2] and India as well. In India Zindagi Channel owned by Zee TV Network is broadcasting the show. It became a huge success. The reason behind its success is a powerful story and natural acting by all the artistes.[3][4]
