  3. In 2006, he was implicated in a controversy due to his decision of removing Peter Handke's play, Voyage au pays sonore ou l'art de la question, planned for 2007. This was due to Handke's presence at the burial of Slobodan Milosevic, as well as his standpoint on the recent Yugoslav conflict.
