AdRise is content distribution and advertising platform for over-the-top content that uses real-time bidding. The company launched Tubi TV in 2014 with more than 20,000 television shows and movies.[1] The company was founded by Farhad Massoudi and launched in 2011.[2]
Funding
AdRise has raised $4 million in capital. Principal investors include Foundation Capital, Bobby Yazdani, Mark Amin, Zod Nazem, and Streamlined Ventures.[3][4] In March 2015, the company announced former Fox TV chairman, Sandy Grushow, was joining its advisory board.[5]
Products
AdRise has created ad-supported white-label applications for content providers on online streaming devices, which include Roku, Xbox 360, Xbox One, and Amazon Fire TV. Starz, The Outdoor Channel, and ITV are some of adRise's TV partners.[6] The company uses a real-time bidding platform for advertisers for delivering video ads to OTT devices.[7]
In April 2014, AdRise launched their own over-the-top content application called Tubi TV as a means to give their content providers more exposure for their content.[8] In March 2015, AdRise announced a licensing agreement with Paramount Pictures for the rights to 50 films per month on Tubi TV.[9]
