Aethes matthewcruzi is a species of moth of the Tortricidae family. It is found in North America, where it has been recorded from Maine, Michigan, Minnesota, New Hampshire and Wisconsin.[3]
The length of the forewings is 6.8-8.2 mm for males and 8.6-9.2 mm for females. The ground colour of the forewings is cream with brown suffusions. The markings are reduced to small, black, buff and brown spots. The hindwings are drab-grey. Adults are on wing from June to August, probably in one generation per year.
Etymology
The species is named in honour of Matthew Edward Cruz.[4]
