Ahmad Ibrahim Khalaf (Arabic: احمد ابراهيم خلف, born February 25, 1992 in Iraq) is an Iraqi international defender. Ahmed Ibrahim currently plays for Ajman Club in UAE.
Club career
The young defender began his playing career at Al-Sharqat before joining Salah-Al-Deen in 2008. In 2009, he was signed by Arbil FC along with club mate Karrar Tariq on a one year contract worth 60m Iraqi dinars.On January 2013, he signed a 6 months loan contract with the Emarati Club side Al-Wasl. Other than his short stint at Al Wasl,Ahmed remained at Erbil for 6 years before leaving the club for Emariti team Ajman.Ahmed had signed for Al Dhafra, another team in the U.A.E for six months, ending on the first of January 2016.
He is now a free agent.
International career
On November 11 2010 Ahmed made his debut against India. Iraq won that match 2–0. He was brought into the squad at the last minute by coach Wolfgang Sidka replacing the injured Hussein Abdul Wahid.On March 28th 2015, on his 50th cap, Ahmed scored his first goal for his country.Heading from a corner by Yaser Kasim in a friendly match against DR Congo in the UAE.
