Ahmed Gaid Salah (Arabic: أحمد ݣايد صالح; born 13 January 1940, in Batna, Algeria) is a senior officer of the Algerian army. In 2004, he became chief of staff of the Algerian People's National Army. In September 2013 he became vice minister of defence.[1][2]

Gaid Salah was promoted to the rank of General in 1993.[2] He is married and father of seven children.[2]
