The Ahrar al-Najran movement is a faction in the Yemeni civil war that started in 2015.

History

The province of Najran became a part of Saudi-Arabia in 1934. Beside the eastern provinces in the country, the aforementioned province has a big shia minority. When the (shia) Houthi uprising in Yemen started and Saudi-Arabia eventually intervented, Najran as a border province became part of the clashes and separatist forces in the region began to form, with Ahrar Al-Najran being an tribal alliance of them.
