The Ahvaz oil field is an oil field located in Khuzestan Province, in the NE of Ahvaz City.[1] It was discovered in 1953 and developed by National Iranian South Oil Company. It began production in 1954 and produces oil. The total proven reserves of the Ahvaz oil field are around 37 billion barrels, and production is centered on 750,000 barrels per day (119,000 m3/d).[2][3]
