Aija Terauda ( Latvian: Aija Tērauda) is a Latvian[1] actress, model, and producer.[2]

Early life

Aija Terauda was born in Riga, Latvia. She began her modeling career at the age of 16, worked in modeling agency Natalie, which led her to work in Milan, Italy and New York, US. She speaks fluently Latvian, Russian and English languages. Also she learned Italian and Finnish languages while living and working in these countries. After Europe she moved to New York City to study acting at HB Studio[3] and MTB studio. In New York she obtained Bachelor of Arts Degree in Economics and International Studies at City College of New York (BA Class 2006).[4] She also studied at Columbia University at SIPA.

Career

Aija Terauda landed her first role[5] and SAG card playing a model in Spider-Man 3. She appears in Martin Scorsese's TV Show Boardwalk Empire. She also worked in Riga, Latvia with Hallmark Productions[6] in TV Film The Courageous Heart of Irena Sendler directed by John Kent Harrison. She plays leading part in Derek Estlin Purvis film Airtight which she also produced.[7] Aija Terauda has been cover model for many European Magazines and American magazines: Talent in Motion[8] November 2011 and Millennium Magazine[9] March 2012.

Aija Terauda is married to Derek Estlin Purvis- writer, director and producer.[10] They got married on December 13, 2013. Derek and Aija met in Boston in June 2012 at his movie premiere for Love Guide.

Aija and Derek have one child- Dorian Emerson Purvis who was born in Los Angeles, CA on October 6, 2014.[11]
