"Ain't It Funny What a Fool Will Do" is a song by country music artist George Jones. It appeared as the B-side to his 1963 Top 5 hit "You Comb Her Hair." Jones wrote the song with Johnny "Country" Mathis, who would pen over 500 songs, some of which were recorded by Jones, Webb Pierce, Johnny Paycheck, and many others. The ballad, which features slow honky-tonk backing and Jones' agonized vocal, did not place on the country Billboard charts but, remarkably, appeared on the U.S. pop charts, peaking at #124.
