Ajai Shukla
Ajai Shukla is a prominent Indian journalist. He is a retired Colonel of Indian Army.[1][2][3][4]
After retiring from the army in 2001, he joined NDTV as a war correspondent and won acclaim for his coverage of the Afghanistan and Iraq conflicts. He has also covered the insurgencies in Jammu & Kashmir and in the north-eastern states of India. From 2005, he worked as a newscaster and anchor for NDTV. He is a former student of the Jawaharlal Nehru University.
He is an expert on defence policy, production and acquisition. He currently works as Consulting Editor with Business Standard writing articles on strategic affairs, defence and diplomacy. He earlier worked with DD News and NDTV.[5][6]
Much of his writing is posted on his popular defence blog, Broadsword (ajaishukla.blogspot.com). He is a frequent television commentator in Indian TV news channels.
