Ajayan Venugopalan is an Indian screenwriter,[1] film director.[2] He started his career as a writer/director of the acclaimed Malayalam television sitcom Akkara Kazhchakal.[3] This popular T.V series was followed by a movie based on the show called Akkarakazhchakal: The Movie[4] which he wrote and co-directed with Abi Varghese. His first break into Malayalam films happened as a scriptwriter with the movie English[5] directed by the acclaimed director Shyamaprasad.[6]
