Aidin Mahmutović (born 6 April 1986) is a Bosnian professional footballer who plays as a forward for Czech club Sigma Olomouc on loan from Czech club Viktoria Plzeň.

Career

In the years 2004–2008 he also played for Bosnia and Herzegovina national under-21 football team. Is considered to be one of the best forwards in the Czech League.[1]

In 2005–2007 Aidin played for NK Čelik Zenica, one of the strongest clubs in Bosnia and Herzegovina. In 2007– 2014 he played for FK Teplice, being one of the leaders of the team. Mahmutović joined Viktoria in December 2014, signing a three-and-a-half year contract.[2] He also had a more profitable offer from the Czech champion AC Sparta Prague, but he chose Viktoria.[3]

In 2015 the new manager[4] of the Bosnia and Herzegovina national football team Mehmed Baždarević announced his intention to include Mahmutović in the Bosnia and Herzegovina national football team.[3]

Personal life

He is married to Emina (née Ademović) Mahmutović. He lived in Yugoslavia during the Yugoslav Wars.[5]
