Ajit Prabhu

Ajit Prabhu is the co founder, chairman and CEO of Quest Global, a multinational company providing engineering solutions.[1][2]

Early life

Ajit born in India had completed his bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering from Karnataka University India. He got his master's degree in Mechanical engineering from Old Dominion University, VA and another master's degree in Biomedical engineering from Rensselaer, NY. Ajit started working after his graduation in General Electric R&D Centre in Schenectady New York.

Quest Global

While working at General Electric Ajit along with his friend Aravind Melligeri decided to quit their job and start own business. In 1997 both of them borrowed money on credit cards to register their first company QuEST Engineering at Schenectady New York.[3] In 1998 the company was registered in India. Quest Global is now one of the largest engineering services companies having estimated revenue of $250 million as on 2014.[4][5]

Ajit also serves as Director of QuEST Machining and Manufacturing Private Limited, Executive Director of Quality Engineering and Software Technologies LLC. Ajit serves on the Engineering School Advisory Council at Rensselaer. He is a lifetime member of distinguished Livingston W. Houston 13 Society of Patroons of Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute.[8]
