Aksaysky District (Russian: Акса́йский райо́н) is an administrative[1] and municipal[2] district (raion), one of the forty-three in Rostov Oblast, Russia. It is located in the western central part of the oblast. The area of the district is 1,170 square kilometers (450 sq mi). Its administrative center is the town of Aksay.[1] Population: 102,369 (2010 Census);[3] 88,899(2002 Census);[6] 73,361(1989 Census).[7] The population of Aksay accounts for 41.0% of the district's total population.[3]
