Akzhaik (Kazakh: Ақжайық ауданы) is a district of West Kazakhstan Region in western Kazakhstan. The administrative center of the district is the selo of Chapaev.[2] Population: 41,067 (2013 estimate);[1] 41,777 (2009 Census results);[3] 49,364 (1999 Census results).[3]
As of 2005 the district had an area of 45,500 km².
