al-Shehhi
Al-Shehhi (Arabic: الشحي, ash-Sheḥḥī, also transliterated as Alshehhi, Shehhi) is an Arabic family name denoting a member of the Shihhuh tribe of the United Arab Emirates and Oman. When followed by a sun letter, the l in al assimilates to the initial consonant of the following noun, resulting in a doubled consonant.

Alshehhi Special Dialect
The Alshehhi tribe has a special dialect different from any other Arabic speaking tribes in the Arabian Peninsula. The dialect of the Shohooh mountain tribes in Ras al-Khaimah and Musandam Governorate is a living example of the history of the Arabic language's evolution in the region.
