Albert Yasuro "Al" Muratsuchi (born September 4, 1964) was a member of the California State Assembly prior to being defeated after one term in 2014. He is a Democrat who represented the 66th district, encompassing parts of the South Bay, Los Angeles region of Los Angeles County. Prior to being elected to the state assembly, he was a prosecutor, Torrance Unified School District board trustee, and Southern California Regional Occupation Center board trustee.

He is currently running to reclaim his seat in the California State Assembly election, 2016.[1]

Muratsuchi's father served in the United States Army and Muratsuchi grew up in Okinawa.

Chairman of the Assembly Budget Subcommittee on Education Finance and Chairman of the Assembly Select Committee on Aerospace. Member of: Assembly Committee on Natural Resources, Assembly Judiciary Committee, Assembly Budget Committee, and Veterans Affairs.
