State Route 152 is a 6-mile-long (9.7 km) route along the north and northeast side of Montgomery. The western terminus of the route is at an interchange with Interstate 65/U.S. Highway 82 near the Alabama River north of Montgomery. The eastern terminus of the route is at an interchange with U.S. Highway 231/State Route 21 northeast of the city.
Route description
State Route 152 is routed along North Boulevard, one of three segments of a multi-lane divided highway that bypasses Montgomery on the city’s north, east and south sides. The route begins as a limited-access freeway with two exits near the ports along the Alabama River. As the route continues northeastward, then eastward, the route is marked with at-grade intersections and railroad crossings.
There is little commercial or residential development near State Route 152; however, there is significant industrial development near the route. Also, the Montgomery Zoo is located near the route.
