Alakhadzi (Georgian: ალახაძი, Abkhaz: Алаҳаӡы, Russian: Алахадзы) is a village in the Gagra District of Abkhazia.[note 1]

Demographics

At the time of the 2011 Census, Alakhadzi had a population of 2,876. Of these, 45.5% were Armenian, 31.1% Abkhaz, 13.1% Russian, 6.4% Georgian, 1.1% Ukrainian and 0.5% Greek[1]

  1. 1 2 Abkhazia's status is disputed. It considers itself to be an independent state, but this is recognised by only a few other countries. The Georgian government and most of the world's other states consider Abkhazia de jure a part of Georgia's territory. In Georgia's official subdivision it is an autonomous republic, whose government sits in exile in Tbilisi.
