Alan Robbins (born February 5, 1943) is an American politician in the state of California. He served as California State Senator from 1973 to 1991. He is a Democrat.[1][2][3] He resigned from the California State Senate in November 1991 after pleading guilty to federal racketeering and income tax evasion charges,[4] and was sentenced to five years in federal prison on May 2, 1992.[5] Robbins is Jewish,[6] and is a graduate of North Hollywood High School, UCLA, and the UCLA School of Law.[7]
