Alan Leigh Sawyer (January 1, 1928 - June 30, 2012[1]) is a former professional basketball player for the Washington Capitols of the National Basketball Association. He played college basketball at the University of California, Los Angeles from 1946 to 1950. He was drafted in the third round of the 1950 NBA Draft by the Capitols.[2]
