Alan Thompson (born May 17, 1927) is an American former politician in the state of Washington. He served in the Washington House of Representatives and Washington State Senate as a Democrat. He was appointed to the Senate in November 1982 to replace Don Talley, who had died. He was also the Chief Clerk of the Washington House of Representatives from 1987 to 1993.[1][2]
