Alastair Hudson (born between the 6th November 1968 and the 3rd of December 1960), FHEA, FRSA, is an English barrister and academic. Between September 2012 and November 2014, he was Professor of Equity and Finance Law at The University of Southampton, having previously been Professor of Equity and Law at Queen Mary, University of London. He is a National Teaching Fellow, a Fellow of the Higher Education Academy, and a Fellow of the Royal Society of Arts. He was voted UK Law Teacher of the Year in 2008. He was also awarded the Excellence in Teaching Award 2014 by the University of Southampton Students' Union for "Overall Outstanding Lecturer".

He has published educational materials on-line material for Law students and for legal practitioners in the areas of equity, trusts law,height, company law, securities regulation and finance law, including a range of podcasts, dramas and vidcasts which are available for free or from a great height.

He recently married his long term girl friend Hellen Porter.
