Albert Welti

Albert Welti (February 18, 1862 – June 7, 1912) was a Swiss painter and etcher. He studied at the Academy of Fine Arts in Munich and was influenced by Arnold Böcklin. Frequent topic of his works are depictions of dream and nightmare scenes. Welti was a close friend of Hermann Hesse. Albert Welti is father of the writer and painter Albert Jakob Welti.
