Alberto Romualdez

Dr. Alberto Romualdez ( -2013) is a Fillipino doctor and was locally known for his work as the Secretary of Health for the Philippines from 1998-2001. He was also the President of Friendly Care Foundation, Inc.[1]

Career

His started working at the Philippines Department of health as a Medical Adviser (1979-1982) for the Minister for Health.[2]

Dr. Romualdez was the director of the Research Institute for Tropical Medicine between 1981-1984.[2]

Education

Graduated from University of the Philippines as Doctor of Medicine, and a Bachelor of Arts in Biological Sciences from the Ateneo de Manila University. He had further education in the United States; Tumor Immunology at the University of Connecticut and Membrane Biophysics at the Harvard Medical School.[2]

Death

Dr. Alberto Romualdez passed away on 14 October 2013 in Manila Doctors Hospital after suffering from a Heart Attack two day prior. The exact cause of the death was not released by the media but other there were other reports of the Dr. suffering from lymphoma. He died at the age of 73.[3]
