Aleksandar Loma (Serbian: Александар Лома; born March 2, 1955 in Valjevo, Serbia, SFR Yugoslavia) is a Serbian philologist and a corresponding member of the Serbian Academy of Science and Arts since October 30th 2003.
Aleksandar Loma emphasized that Serbian epic poetry about Kosovo events is older than the events it describes, having its origin in the pre-Christian and pre-Balkan periods of Serbian history.[1]

Aleksandar Loma se uputio u to da pokaže kako su srpske junačke pesme o Kosovu starije od Kosova, odnosno događaja koje opevaju. Da im je poreklo prethrišćansko i predbalkansko, a da su i u srodstvu sa sličnim oblicima mišljenja i pevanja u civilizacijama koje su nam danas daleko, ali sa kojima smo bili blizu, ili u istom životnom i tvoračkom nukleusu, u neka vremena pre nekoliko hiljada godina.
