Alex B. Morse (born January 29, 1989) is the current mayor of Holyoke, Massachusetts. On November 8, 2011, he was elected the youngest mayor of Holyoke at age 22, defeating incumbent Mayor Elaine Pluta.[1] On November 5, 2013, he was re-elected to a second term, defeating businessman Jeff Stanek.[2] Morse is openly gay and in April 2015 announced his engagement to engineer Edwin Cruz Vargas.[3]
