Alex Peter Traian Mateas (born March 28, 1991) is a Canadian football offensive lineman who is currently a member of the Ottawa Redblacks of the Canadian Football League. He was drafted by the Redblacks with the first overall pick in the 2015 CFL Draft.^[1] He played college football at the University of Connecticut from 2012–2014 after redshirting at the University of Pennsylvania in 2010.^[2]
