Alex Ranarivelo is a French-American film director, editor, and screenwriter, best known for directing Born to Race.

Early life

Ranarivelo was born in Saint-Jean-d'Angély, France, and moved to New York City with his family at the age of 7. He studied BFA in film from the Art Center College of Design.[1]

Career

In 2012, Ranarivelo directed an action film Born to Race, followed by its sequel Born to Race: Fast Track in 2014.[2] He wrote the script along with Ali Afshar and Steven Sarno.[2]

Ranarivelo is currently directing a drama film Running Wild based on the script by Christina Moore and Brian Rudnick.[3]
