Alex Wilson (born 21 March 1994) is an emerging Women's National Basketball League player and outstanding junior Australian representative from South Australia. She currently plays for the Townsville Fire after representing the Adelaide Lightning in 2010/11 and training with the Australian Institute of Sport after gaining national attention as a 16-year-old.[1]

Career Highlights

Wilson, a guard, was a key player in the Australian Gems team that claimed bronze at the 2013 FIBA U19 World Championships, averaging 13 points and 7 rebounds per game.[2] She also represented Australia in the FIBA Under 17 World Championships in 2010 and was named Australian Under 20 Championship Most Valuable Player in 2013.[3]

In 2014, Wilson was named 'Rookie of the Year' for Women's National Basketball League team Townsville Fire.[4]
