Alexander S. Hoare is a British banker. He served as the Chief Executive of C. Hoare & Co from 2001 to 2009.

Early life

Alexander S. Hoare received a Bachelor of Commerce in Marketing from the University of Edinburgh.[1][2][3]

Career

Hoare worked as a marketing consultant for PA Consulting Group.[1][3]

In 1987, he joined the family bank, C. Hoare & Co.[2][3] He served as its Chief Executive from 2001 to 2009.[2] He has served on its Board as a Managing Partner since 2009.[2]

Hoare formerly served as the President of the Groupement Européen de Banques.[1][2] He also served on the Board of Directors of the Jupiter Green Investment Trust.[1][2] He also served on the Finance and Advisory Council of Westminster Abbey.[1][2] He is an Associate of the Chartered Institute of Bankers (ACIB).[2]

Philanthropy

He served on the Boards of Trustees of Training for Life and the Trinity Hospice.[1][2]
