Alexey Gennadyevich Dyumin (Russian: Алексей Геннадьевич Дюмин, born 28 August 1972) is a Russian statesman and career officer. He holds the rank of lieutenant general and is a Hero of the Russian Federation.[1] Since 2016, Dyumin is an acting Governor of Tula Oblast: he will hold this office until upcoming gubernatorial elections in September 2016.[2]
Life and career
Alex Dyumin born August 28, 1972 in Kursk.
In 1994 – Alexey graduated from the Voronezh Higher Military Engineering School of Radio Electronics. It was distributed in the Moscow Military District, a small military unit, which was engaged in countering enemy reconnaissance technical means.[3]
In 1995 – he served in the Russian Federal Security Service. Then - in the service of the Presidential Security Service (FSO unit). In 2007, Alexey Dyumin became head of security of the Prime Minister Viktor Zubkov.
In 2012 – became the deputy head of the presidential security service FSO of Russia.
In 2014 – the deputy chief of the GRU, Russian special operations forces, which have played a key role in the operation of the Crimea to Russia, what they say in the film "Crimea. The Way Home". According to the newspaper "Kommersant", Dyumin developed and performed the emergency evacuation of Ukrainian President Viktor Yanukovych to Russia, on the night of February 23, 2014.[4] However, Alexey Dyumin himself, called it a myth and declined to comment.
Since 2015 – Chief of Staff of the Russian Ground Forces - First Deputy Commander of the Russian Ground Forces.
December 11, 2015 was promoted to Lieutenant General.[5]
December 24, 2015, by decree of President Vladimir Putin, Lieutenant-General Alexey Dyumin was appointed Deputy Defense Minister of Russia Sergey Shoygu.[6]
Governor of Tula Oblast
February 2, 2016, President Vladimir Putin appointed Alexey Dyumin Acting Governor of the Tula Oblast. In this position, he was succeeded by Vladimir Gruzdev, who left the post at his own request. For the most Dyumin appointment was unexpected.
February 4, 2016 Dyumin assumed the duties of the Governor.[7]
February 9 announced plans to participate in the election of the governor, to be held September 18, 2016.

Facts
- According to Dyumin's own words, once he saved the President from a bear attack without killing the animal.[8]
- Dyumin is rumored to succeed Putin as President of Russia[9]
