Alfred Brophy

Alfred L. Brophy is the Judge John J. Parker Distinguished Professor of Law at the University of North Carolina School of Law in Chapel Hill, North Carolina.[1] Prior to his academic career, Brophy was a law clerk to John Butzner of the United States Court of Appeals for the Fourth Circuit and practiced law with Skadden, Arps, Slate, Meagher & Flom in New York.[1]

Brophy teaches in property law and trusts and estates, and is the author of a number of publications in these areas.[1] He received an A.B. from the University of Pennsylvania, a J.D. from Columbia University, and a Ph.D. from Harvard University.[1]
