Ali Nobakht
Ali Nobakht Haghighi (Persian: علی نوبخت حقیقی) (born1948, Rasht) is an Iranian professor of Internal Medicine specialised in Nephrology. He is a permanent member of Iranian Academy of Medical Sciences. Nobakht was former Treatment Deputy, Finance and Administration, and Student Affair of Islamic Republic of Iran's Ministry of Health and Medical Education (1986–1993). He was also the Chairman of High Disciplinary Board and Vice President of Medical Council of Iran (1991–1996).[1]
Nobakht served as the Secretary of Iranian Academy of Medical Sciences and the division chief of Renal Diseases of Shahid Beheshti University of Medical Sciences. Nobakht is the director of Hemodialysis Unit of MEHR Hospital in Tehran. He is also the secretary of the Iranian Society of Organ Transplantation and the Iranian Medical Association.
Education
Studied Medical Education and graduated at Isfahan Medical University 1978; Residency of Internal Medicine at Firoozgar General Hospital 1982; Nephrology Fellowship at Iranian Council for Graduate Medical Education 1989.
Affiliations
Nobakht is a member of Iranian Society of Nephrology, American Society of Nephrology (ASN), International Society of Nephrology (ISN) and Middle East Society for Organ Transplantation (MESOT).
Scholarship
Nobakht is the author of several scientific papers published in peer reviewed journals [2][3]
Family
Nobakht has married to Maryam Pourseyed for 38 years. They have three children (two daughters and one son) who are medical doctors.
