Alisi Tupuailei (born 1 February 1982) is a Samoa-born Japanese professional rugby union player who currently plays for Honda Heat and the Japan national rugby union team.

Career

Tupuailei played for Canterbury in the provincial games. He has represented Japan in both sevens and the main code. He made his Rugby World Cup debut in 2011. He was part of the Japanese squad to the 2012 Hong Kong Sevens. The greatest opponent Alisi has met thus far in his career, was in a recent match against the aging Sumner Sharks at the paddock known as St Leonards Square, where his side (the New Brighton Taniwha) were unlucky to only draw in adverse conditions. His most feared opponent is Adrian Collis, but fortunately (despite his best efforts) management decided to keep him off the field. Had he got on in the rage he was in, who knows Alisi's career might have been in trouble....
