"Alive" is a song by the Australian electronic duo Empire of the Sun. It was released on 15 April 2013 as the lead single from their second studio album, Ice on the Dune, released 14 June 2013. It is one of the band's most known songs as it has been used and remixed all over the world.

The single was certified platinum both by the Australian Recording Industry Association and the Federation of the Italian Music Industry. It is also featured in the football video game FIFA 14.

Video

The video for the song has acquired widespread notice. Directed by Alex Theurer and Charles Scott from Kelvin Optical, Inc., a division of J.J. Abrams' Bad Robot Productions.[2] it features science fiction costumes and was filmed in Bryce Canyon National Park and the redwoods of California.

In popular culture

"Alive" was used in the introduction video for Google I/O 2013. It was also played within the introduction video of the new Yahoo! logo on 5 September 2013 and also a featured song on the soundtrack of EA Sport's FIFA 14. In Chile, the song was featured on the commercial for Nectar Points (Puntos Nectar).

Used as end title of the movie Paranoia (2013)

Featured in the movie Dumb and Dumber To and Alpha and Omega: The Legend of the Saw Tooth Cave.

The song was also used in Fiat's newly released Avventura ad. It is also featured in a "Push The Button" commercial, in the Hotlink RED App in Malaysia, which features Zedd Extended Remix.[3]
