All About The Rock is a website dedicated to heavy metal and hard rock news, as well as album, music and DVD reviews. All About The Rock was put together by Craig Hogan. The first version of the website was officially launched in December 2011. In April 2013, the website's design was completely changed and the site was moved to a different web hosting company.
Users can post comments to all news articles, album reviews and interviews, either in response to other user comments or in response to the article itself.
History
Founders Craig Hogan and Christopher Key came up with the concept of All About The Rock in December 2011 in their works canteen - both sharing a love for rock and metal they wanted to review albums and concerts for a living.[2]
Hogan began searching for a host that night and by 6 December 2011 their first review was online for Korn's The Path of Totality album[3] .
Sources
All About The Rock relies on the contacts that the team members have made over the years ranging from band members, managers and other people in the music industry.
Podcast
In January 2014 the very first All About The Rock Podcast[4] was launched. This is a monthly podcast that is hosted by Acid Reign frontman Howard 'H' Smith and features music news as well as interviews. To date he has interviewed Xentrix, Re-Animator, Death Angel, Gama Bomb, Chad Grey from Hellyeah, Mordred and Bobby "Blitz" Ellsworth from Overkill.
