All Public Art (APA) is an online directory that assists in the discovery of artwork in public spaces around the world. Along with discovery of public art it also provides a photo-sharing and e-commerce platform for public/street artists, businesses, and art organizations. They can post the exact location of their artworks and sell/purchase art related items. The directory is operated through mobile applications available on both Android and iOS.[1]

History

All Public Art, LLC is headquartered in Glendale, California. Its website and mobile application (iOS/Android) is scheduled to launch in May 2016.[2]

Operations, Services & Features

All Public Art's user community is primarily active in major metropolitan regions around the world where public art, street art, graffiti and corporate artworks are popular.[3] The site has pages devoted to individual locations of artworks posted by the user community, where APA users can view photos, learn about the artwork and open an interactive map that will assist them in visiting the exact location of the artwork.[4] The users can also add the artwork to their “favorites” list, which simultaneously acts as a rating system that displays the number of times a public artwork or item for sale has been “favorited.”[5]

Along with the user community, art-related businesses and organizations can post items and merchandise (usually art related products) for sale.[6] They can also update contact information, hours and other basic listing information or add special deals to their profiles in APA. In addition to writing messages to other members in the APA community, users can write comments about artworks and item posts to discuss their personal opinions and perspectives.[7]

APA does not charge a listing fee to sellers for each item posted for sale.[8] APA makes money by receiving 2.1% of every sale, with the average sale about $15 or $20.[9]

Most content on All Public Art is user generated.[10] The pictures, descriptions and details about the items for sale (among other things) are owned by All Public Art's members, not by All Public Art.[11]
