All Star K! was a karaoke game show in the Philippines. It aired from January 13, 2002 to October 18, 2009.
All Star K! started as K! The 1 Million Peso Videoke Challenge with Arnell Ignacio as host. When Ignacio transferred to rival station ABS-CBN in 2004 (along with one of his program's contestants Bernadette Sembrano), the latter was replaced by Jaya as host and later comedian Allan K. joined the singer, and the show was renamed All Star K!. level
michael v There are seven contestants who sing seven blanks in a song in each round. The song will be chosen by the Giant Jukebox with the following categories:
- PatoK! na PatoK! (Hit to Hit; pop songs)
- K! Puso (K! Heart; songs popularized by GMA talents)
- K! Hit Ano (K! Hit What; any song that pops out the screen without any clue)
- NaK!raan (Previously; songs from the past)
- SoundtraK! (Soundtrack; theme songs for T.V. and movies)
A category might change according to a certain occasion (i.e., K!PASKUHAN Christmas songs). The songs may be in Tagalog or English.
The Floor will then choose one player who will sing first. Each correct lyric is worth 10,000 pesos. Each incorrect lyrics decreases the pot by 10,000 pesos. The value continues in each round (example: Round 1 ended in 50,000 pesos; Round 2 will start at 50,000 pesos. The 50,000 might increase or decrease).
If someone makes a mistake, the judge will eliminate one contestant. In round 5 (Final round), two or more contestants could be eliminated. If no one makes a mistake, no one will be eliminated.
One-on-one round
Two remaining contestants will battle it out. The hosts will give clues for the three mystery songs. The first player who buzzes will have the option to sing the songs with three blanks to proceed to the jackpot round or to pass it to the opponent hoping he will make a mistake. Should the opponent sing the three songs correctly, he will go to the jackpot round.
Jackpot round
The player must surrender the pot to play.
There are 11 blanks in one song. The first blank gives the player the showcase. The second to fifth adds 50,000 to the player's money.
The sixth blank gives the player another showcase. The seventh to tenth blanks adds an additional 50,000 to the player's money.
The prizes add up to 400,000 and two showcases. If the player makes a mistake, he or she gets the money of the last level he sang correctly (e.g., if the player sang up to the third level, he takes home 100,000 and the showcase).
For the 11th blank the player must then decide if he should surrender the money for 1,000,000 peso line. If the player sing the line correctly (mostly the whole bridge or coda of the song), he wins the million pesos.
Celebrity winners
There are already five celebrities who have won the 1-million peso jackpot since the show's beginning. Regine Velasquez won twice, Mark Tupaz of Shamrock, StarStruck Kids avenger Sandy Talag won as she bravely sang the song "Through The Fire" of Chaka Khan, EB Babe Belle and the latest millionaire is Aiza Seguerra, who won on February 10, 2008. Iwa Moto and Sheena Halili have also won twice but didn't get the Jackpot.
