Allauddinum Albhhutha Vilakkum (അലാവുദിനും അത്ഭുതവിളക്കും) (translated as Aladdin's magical lamp) is a 1979 Malayalam-language Indian feature film directed by I. V. Sasi based on Alladin's story from the Arabian Nights [1] starring Kamal Hassan as Allauddin, Rajinikanth as Kamaruddin and Gemini Ganesan as Meergha Singh. This is the debut of Rajinikanth in Malayalam.
The film, a bi-lingual has been simultaneously made in Tamil-language as Allaudinaum Arputha Vilakkum (அல்லாவுதீனும் அற்புதவிளக்கும்) and released on 8 June 1979 with some tamil actors joining the supporting cast.
