Alliqucha (Quechua alli good, sane, qucha lake,[2] "good lake" or "sane lake", hispanicized spelling Allicocha) is a lake in the Cordillera Blanca in the Andes of Peru located in the Ancash Region, Asunción Province, Chacas District.[3] It is situated at a height of 4,474 metres (14,678 ft), 204 m long and 113 m at its widest point.[4] Alliqucha lies southwest of the mountain Qupa.
The shore of the lake is covered with ichhu (stipa ichu), qiwuña (polylepis sp), shunqu shunqu (stangea erikae), kuñaq or botoncillo (werneria dactylophylla), lliqllish qura (werneria nubigena), inka waraqu (opuntia flocossa), rima rima (krapfia weberbaueri) and tawlli machu (lupinus weberbaueri).[5]
