Alpine School District is the primary school district in northern Utah County in Utah, including the cities of Lindon, Orem, Pleasant Grove, American Fork, Alpine, Highland, Lehi, Saratoga Springs, and Eagle Mountain. It includes all grades from kindergarten all through high school (K-12). As of 2011, there were 51 elementary schools, 11 junior high schools, 8 high schools, and 3 alternative schools serving approximately 67,660 students, making it the largest school district in Utah. The district is governed by a board of education which consists of a seven-member group of citizens elected to four year terms to serve the patrons and students of this district.[1] The day-to-day operations of the district are managed by a superintendent. The current superintendent is Samuel Y. Jarman.
The district offices are located in American Fork at 575 North 100 East American Fork, Utah 84003.

History
The district was created in 1915 with 92 teachers, 4,906 students, 21 grade schools and four high schools: Lehi, American Fork, Pleasant Grove and Spencer (Orem).[2] Its name and original boundaries were taken from the Alpine Stake of the LDS Church.[3]
