Altona City SC are an Australian association football (soccer) club from Altona, Victoria, a suburb of Melbourne, Victoria. The club was formed in 1965 as a predominantly Scottish club. The club played in the Victorian State League from 1977–1981. In the 1990's the club was promoted 2 years in a row taking back into state league 1, In the 2000's the club then come one of the heavy hitters in women's soccer having a team in the WPL, The clubs most notable illumni includes Socceroos great Alan Edward Davidson and current Socceroo Jason Davidson . The club has produced many Socceroos and is one of major development clubs in Victoria.

In November 2015, Altona appointed Aaron D'Antino as the club's head coach for the 2016 season onwards. In the 2015 season, D'Antino was both playing and assisting in the coaching duties at Altona, stepping up into a caretaker role for Sam Borg in the latter parts of the season.[1] Later that month, Altona City announced a partnership with ambitions NPL Victoria club Avondale FC, where knowledge would be shared between coaches, inner workings at both clubs would be studied and an NPL pathway would be offered to Altona City players via Avondale.[2]

Just before the start of the 2016 State League 2 North-West season, Altona City signed former Melbourne Knights FC and Werribee City FC player Ryan Filipović[3]
