Alvise Zorzi
Alvise Zorzi (born 10 June 1922) is an Italian journalist and writer from Venice.
He is the son of Elio Zorzi, journalist and director of the Mostra Internazionale d'Arte Cinematografica of the Biennale di Venezia in the early years after World War II. He has been director of cultural programs in RAI, Italy's state television, and is a member of UNESCO committee for Venice.
Zorzi has written a number of books on the history and civilization of Venice, including biographies of Carlo Goldoni, Marco Polo, Titian and others. His latest book is Napoleone e Venezia, published in 2010.
