Amazing Comics (アメージングコミックス) was a bi-monthly manga magazine in Japan published by Kasakura Shuppansha. Publication started in April 1989 and ended in May 1990 with issue #5. Amazing Comics quickly focused on "SF & Horror" manga series, and famous were published including Katsuhiro Otomo's Akira (manga) (launch title), Mamoru Oshii's Kerberos Panzer Cop (first publication), Ultraman or Godzilla (海辺のゴジラ). The most acclaimed series were selected to feature "all-color" chapters, and the magazine included a colour poster from popular series.
Renewal
On October 1990, the cover style was totally renewed and the name even changed to "アメージングコミックス" (Amējingukomikkusu) which is the Japanese rendering for "Amazing Comics". The magazine was discontinued after the next issue (#5) though.
