Amber is an Irish crime drama series created by Rob Cawley and Paul Duane and directed by Thaddeus O'Sullivan. The series stars Eva Birthistle and David Murray as parents of a young teenage girl who goes missing, Amber played by Lauryn Canny, it also stars Levi O'Sullivan as her younger brother. Amber was produced by Screenworks Ireland for RTÉ with funding from the Broadcasting Authority of Ireland. The series aired in Ireland on four consecutive nights (Sunday 19th to Wednesday 22 January 2014) on RTÉ One, however the series had aired in a number of countries prior to this. The series was produced in 2011.[1][2][3]
Overview
The series is set in Dublin's suburbia in 2011 and surrounds the disappearance of 14-year-old, Amber Bailey.

Reception
The series has received mixed reviews from critics, but was critically panned for its conclusion, and numerous unanswered questions.
International broadcast
The series has already aired in a number of countries, including Australia, and aired on BBC Four in June 2014. The series is available on Netflix in some regions. Amber is distributed by Content Media Corporation.
