Amblyodipsas concolor, or the Natal purple-glossed snake, is a species of venomous rear-fanged snake in the Atractaspididae family.
Geographic range
It is endemic to Southern Africa.[2] More specifically it is found in the Republic of South Africa and Swaziland.[3]
Description
Dorsally greenish black, with purple gloss. Ventrally pale blackish purple, the ventrals margined behind with livid white. Dorsal scales in 13 rows. Ventrals 134; subcaudals 38. Total length 19 cm (7 1⁄2 in); tail 28 mm (1 1⁄8 in).[4]
